This contemporary townhouse development in Balgownie was designed to provide modern multi-level living close to Wollongong and the Illawarra coastline.
To enhance the appeal of the homes to a wider range of buyers, the developer wanted to offer residential lifts as an optional upgrade during the sales process.
We worked with the developer during the planning phase to review the architectural drawings and confirm that a residential lift could be incorporated within the allocated lift shafts in each townhouse.
Our team developed an information package that the developer could use as part of the sales process, allowing prospective buyers to understand the benefits and options for including a lift in their home.
This allowed the lift to be presented as a practical upgrade that improves both accessibility and long-term usability of the homes.
Through this process, four buyers chose to include lifts in their townhouses.
The lift shafts had already been incorporated into the architectural design and were relatively compact.
Working with the available space, we assessed our lift range to determine the largest and most practical lift configuration that could be installed within the existing dimensions.
By carefully selecting the appropriate lift model, we were able to maximise the usable platform size while maintaining full functionality within the allocated space.
This project highlights how residential lifts can add real value within townhouse developments.
