8 x SB200 Platform Lifts for Townhouse Development
The client approached us with a clear brief: supply and install eight SB200 platform lifts across a multi-unit townhouse development.
They were already familiar with the product and had progressed well into the construction phase, so their priority was to confirm specifications quickly and secure production slots with the manufacturer.
After receiving the project plans, our team prepared an initial proposal and arranged a site inspection to verify key installation details.
During the early project phase we:
• Reviewed architectural drawings and confirmed lift specifications
• Visited site to assess installation access and take final measurements
• Coordinated with the builder to confirm installation sequencing
• Negotiated with the manufacturer to secure improved pricing for the eight-lift order
• Finalised all order specifications within 10 days of the first enquiry
Once confirmed, the lifts were placed into production to meet the required construction timeline.
Difficult site access on steep unfinished drive. Needed to crane lift packages (4 per unit) over building and down onto rear balcony as street level was the top story and lift installation has to start at the bottom 3 levels down. Limited storage space on site. Other trades also working on site. Delays in shipping meat tight delivery timeframe for installation. Clients were slow to pay and difficult to contact.
Projects like this reinforce the importance of strong early-stage planning.
For future multi-unit developments we would:

• Spend additional time confirming delivery logistics and site access conditions before production
